Haven't seen Watchman Goby in days...

So I know Gobies have a tendency to go into hiding for a few days, but I haven't seen any sign of him at all for about 5 days now. He won't come out from hiding to eat, or anything.

I can't find him on the ground anywhere, but the last time I saw him he was swimming near the top. Maybe I have a jumper? The tank isn't fully covered so that seems most likely to me.

I guess I'll go on a Goby search around the floor 1 more time, but I seriously can't find him anywhere. I can't really move my aquascaping to hunt for a corpse, so I guess I'll just have to wait it out.

What you guys think my chances are of seeing him again?

Slim at this point... After I didn't see one of my orange spot for about 5 days I chalked it up as a loss.. I hope he appears though...

Is this is new fish or one you have had for a while? Have you had a chance to check the tank at night before you go to bed? I didn't see my goby or pistol for the first 2 weeks I had them. I loaded the tank with bottled pods to make sure they had food to eat if the CUC ate the leftovers before they had a chance to find something at night.

They do still hide on occasion & the holiday working schedule really seemed to throw them off.

He was in the tank for about 2 weeks before he went missing. I always check before I go to bed with a flashlight. No luck... I'm about to call it a loss and find a replacement.

You guys have any good ides for additions? All I have are 2 true percula clowns and a cleaner shrimp. Along with the CUC obviously...

I'm thinking maybe a lawnmower or tailspot blenny?

Great news! A couple days ago, I was looking in the sump for 1 last effort at finding the little guy. Next thing I know, I see a flash of yellow dart across the water. MY WATCHMAN!! So I fish him out with a net, and got him back in the DT. He is pretty skinny from lack of food, but he seems like he is going to be alright!

What a relief :D
