Having a problem with maroon clown

Got up this morning and found that my clown and only fish in the tank has a problem with his mouth. it has what looks like jagged white stuff on it. not sure what it is and if i should be worried about it. about six weeks ago, my tank got a bad case of ick. two tangs died and now i'm not sure if clown got something. i thought ick cycles through in 6 weeks. any ideas? there are no spots on him and he eats like a pig. love this fish and don't want him to die.

I can't remember what it's called, but I THINK its a bacterial infection. I would quarantine it and buy some antibiotics at a fish store to treat it

he looks fine today, very odd. i really have to set up a quarantine tank. thanks for the help.
