Having trouble finding Ventralis Anthias

Hi All,

I'm having an awfully hard time finding this fish (looking for 4-5). Any ideas anyone?

I currently live right outside New York City.

I've tried Michael at NYA, Jason at Greenwich Aquaria, PIA, etc.

I don't think they're seasonal so maybe the fish is so delicate no one wants to bother?

I have seen them for sale at PIA and LA, and LA DD. Although not currently.

I'll try him again humaguy. I've been trying to get the Cook Island variant but at this rate, I'd be happy with any.

cooks have stopped exporting for the time being i believe. we have 5 small babies right now that came in... they are very small. so we'll see if they adapt. small ones are awesome, but are hard to acclimate to captivity since they have a ridiculously high metabolism.

That's encouraging news Kevin. I'd love to get a harem of babies. What are your thoughts of shipping this species from Hawaii to Connecticut?
