Potter's angelfish. I already have a great male and would like to add 2 females
*** Try to find 2 small ones
Flame wrasse Jordain as a pair.
** 3 females would be nice!
Hawaiian longfin anthias as a pair
** expensive and fragile. Would be out competed for food. Bicolors get HUGE. I would skip these also
Threadfin BF. this fish is in qt now
** how big? they have a tendency to pick at fins of other fish (fairies)
Longnose BF. This fish in qt now
** same as auriga
Kleinii Bf I this fish in qt now
*** no coral will be OK
Spotted Boxfish
*** These can get very aggressive. I would skip the box fish altogether
Fantail Filefish
** cool choice - plenty of them in the ocean right now!
Dwarf golden moray
** you will have to hand feed these eels, but they are one of my favorite fish
Reticulated frogfish
*** Will never get food. They are SOO slow at eating.. I wouldn't recommend these for anything other than a nano take and only 2-3 by themselves
Kole Tang
** great choice
Milletseed Bf c. miliars
** good choice
Bluestripe Bf c. frenblii
** harder to keep, but if acclimated, are beautiful butterflies
Racoon Bf c. lunula
**same as auriga - can be nippy.
scarface blenny
** difficult to feed. Make sure you get a small ones (which are hard to find)
Tinker's BF
*** pricey, but you can't beat a tinkers
Longnose hawkfish
** get a pair if you can. The interactions between a pair of these guys is comical
Pennat BFh. diphreutes
** i love this fish. Right now there are a lot of tiny ones which make an awesome display.
fire dartfish a pair
*** if its N. magnifica they are impossible to find in Hawaii... I've seen 1 !
Recommendations:
blue spot goby
Hawaiian Algae blenny
flagtail tilefish (these are pretty cool and no one has them from Hawaii!)
Seems like you want some bigger fish, so maybe a chevron tang, potters wrasse, ornate wrasse - H. ornatissimus, or pencil pair would be cool.
