Has anyone ever ordered from this website? I am considering placing an order, but can't find any information/reviews on them. They are also known as R.T. Distributors. Thanks in advance for any help.

there have been a lot of reports of sick fish. Buying fish directly from a diver because of the low cost frequently ends in a lot of dead fish. They will all need their own holding system and be proactivly treated with medication for much success.

Seems to be the same fish that most wholesalers get, and sell to LFSs!

Do some digging and see how many fish are lost in the process of getting them from sea to your tank. It is not good.

And this has something to do with buying fish directly from a diver?

In theory the fish you buy from the store or other online distributors have already survived the first major hurdle of being caught and transported to the place you buy from. These fish are perhaps the stronger ones out of all those that have been harvested .

Dont know about this guy but did have trouble buying from a diver there before. He kept sending big fish in a little bag of water. Of course it worked out the same all 3 times.

Yes, because when you buy from a reputable source they hopefully don't sell you a sick non eating fish. The business side of things and the hobby side of things are two completely different animals.

This seller in particular gets a bad rap for shipping bad fish. Just do a search.

Diver direct is great for some stuff but someone shipping a ton of fish straight out of the ocean to a hobbyist is going to end in a bunch of dead fish.

BTW: $500 on his site is going to be 15~20 non quarantined half eating fish. Sounds like a great challenge.
