hawiianyellowtang?

would a hawiian yellow tang be good to raise in my 29 gallon biocube tank? I would like to know all about hawiian yellow tangs.

I would start by reading the recommended tank sizes in the sticky at the top of this forum. The answer to your question, of course, is "no".

You just posted almost the same question a while ago---chance are, the responses would be the same. Yellow Tangs are one on the most common fish in the hobby and a 29 isn't even close to being big enough. This is a great hobby that you can enjoy for a lifetime. But you should have this basic info at your fingertips. I'd suggest getting a couple good books, read them cover to cover, and do a lot of research before going any faster. If you post what you have, how your setting up, cycle status, etc; I'm sure you'll get a lot of help from this forum. But some of the basic background learning should be your next responsibility.

curious, what do you mean by raise? im assuming it means 'raise forever' but it could also, under slime conditions, mean 'grow out'. im thinking its the former? then nope, chances are ittl last a few weeks, if that, then die 'for nor reason'.

I have not moved on!!! I am reasearching almost everyday, And I am just eager to learn about the hobby.

It's a wonderful hobby, and you're definitely doing the right thing by researching and asking questions.

Patience will be your biggest asset in the hobby, some of us have been at it for years, and still learn new things daily.

Thank you for the advice and I have learned to be patient, and I decided maybe a hawiian yellow tang is not the right fish for me and my tank. I just got my first two fish a dottyback and a clownfish. They are doing great!

Good job man. sometimes the "wrong" fish are the most tempting but you have to think of how the fish will really do in your system. The biocubes are sweet btw

Your right,Keywestcoralboy, I did get tempted by Tangs but I am thoroughly enjoying my wonderful clownfish and dottyback- (by the way, I forgot to tell you I also have a feather duster, nudibranch, bubble coral, and Rucordia mushroom coral) They are all doing great! This is by far my most favorite hobby!

Those sound like much better choices for your size tank, aside from the nudibranch. Depending on what species the nudibranch is, it might be impossible to feed/keep.
