my new tank is 48 w 24 d 30 high looking for a good reef fixture want t-5 , how many bulbs across and so on thanks

I think 4 with reflectors would be ok for softies maybe some hardier stonies. Some stuff might brown out. What kind of corals do you want to keep?

I'd say a 6 bulb TEK light, or better yet, a 6 bulb ATI light. I have a TEK light and love it. I hear the ATIs put down a lot more PAR, but they do cost quite a bit more.

I run 6 bulbs on my t5 set up, but I'm a fan of retro's. your choice and set up. For bulb choices check Grimreefer's home page! If the link doesn't work just pull up grimreefer here on RC and you'll see his home page. He knows what he;'s doing for sure. I've used several of his combo's and won't change it again. On the # of bulbs to use depends on what you want to keep. 4 will do you fine on most everything, but 6 will give a little more par and give you better options on color you like. JMHO Good luck!

I will take your light if he doesn't want it.
