Incredible tank! I might have to steal your surge system bubble trap idea. I've been racking my brain for ways to incorporate a surge tank but eliminate the mess of all that salt creep. Also I've got to remember that epoxy rock trick for my next tank, that came out so good. BTW what's with the "river rays" sign on your tank?

My DT used to be the sump for a 3000g fresh water River Rays tank.

Never had any experience hot air welding spaflex. It would probably work but I would try it on a test piece first. I don't think it would come out too pretty. I think it would very easily get that brown/burnt look to it.

This Derasa in my tank seems to spawn every couple of months. Doesn't seem to hurt anything, just clouds up my water for a while. I think the corals probably like it.
