You have really nice macro, Do they grow at the same rate? Are you running bio-balls to get your nitrates up to make them grow fast? I really like the look of a macro tank. I also think that a sixline is perfect for frag tanks, always searching for the next meal.

Loganingles: around 5-10$ depending on type if you dont want to trade anything.

They dont grow at the same rates, the caulerpa is the fastes growing about an inch or more a night. Others show growth but I dont notice it as quickly as the Caulerpa.
I have to dose my tank to keep it going, no bio balls but it may be a good idea. kno3, iron and mag, trace, iodine.

Also I have more pictures of the macros in the macro forum if you want to check them out.

Hey monk, would some of your macro come with a decent copepod population or could I get some with it? I have a little grape caulerpa in my fuge but not copepods. I have a mandarin that has been eating frozen shrimp since I bought him a little over a month ago but he doesn't seem to be getting enough and is getting thin and sickly looking so I'm trying to get a copepod population built up. I also would like to get some more macro in the fuge and something different to help with nutrient export. I'm in Decatur.

Hello,
I've got a recent split rbta at least 3" across if you can make it to Normal, IL anytime. I thought about putting it in my new little 14g nano, but the tank isn't mature enough yet so I'd rather it was traded off for something I"m more comfortable putting in the tank. If you've got a package of macros to trade for my rbta just let me know.

Hey guys, there are pods all over the stuff, Curt you could also order some pods online im sure you know, its an option. You might get more that way.

bobpiker I could put you a package together of red grape, red titan, blue ochtodes, gracilaria, and if you want caulerpa i can add that too. My problem with caulerpa is that it grows to damn fast for me. Over an inch each direction a night. I find myself having to trim it very often so it doesnt take over the tank. Im planning to take the caulerpa out all together.

Let me know.

I may get ahold of you this weekend if you'll be around. I need both macro and pods. I'd buy the pods online but they want $50+ with shipping it seems and I'm still afraid with as cold as it is, most would die off in transit. If I can get a small population started with some macro in the fuge then I'm sure in time it'd take off quickly.

Curt2199,

You might try The Pet Shoppe in Mattoon, IL. I'm thinking they have the pods you are looking for if you don't mind the drive. If nothing else you can call them and see what they have. (217) 234-7387.

I'm definitely interested in what you can put together for me minus the calerpa. I'm most interested in some good looking algaes for my 14g nano, so some color will go a long way in my opinion. I've already got a big ball of chaeto in my sump and could put calerpa there but it would interfere, I think, with the nice roll I've got going with my chaeto. Do you ever make it to Bloomington/Normal?

Just wanted to say "drunkenmonk" hooked me up with some great macro last night! Me and my tank thanks him! And as soon as my pod population has taken off well my mandarin will be thanking him as well... lol.

Thanks Curt, I hope everything goes well for your tank and your Mandarin. Give it a little while and you should have a great pod population in no time!!

macro for an rbta

macro for an rbta

Hey, Josh.

I think you're getting ready to ship your macro to me today with Priority US. Please let me know when it does ship so that I can get to my P.O. as soon as it arrives. And if you can get a tracking # I'll know as soon as it gets here.

It's been a bit cold lately. Even though I could use a couple of your heat packs to ship my rbta to you with Prioirty, I'm curious if you wouldn't rather wait a month to receive it when it will likely be a bit warmer. If you want to pick up the difference between shipping with Priority and Express I would still be glad to ship it that way to you, too, using your packaging. Not sure what it will cost but I know it will be higher.

Bob
