Hi there, it's my first time posting so let's see how this goes! I'm new to saltwater (have had freshwater discus for 12 years) and am still doing my research while my tank cycles.
My LFS just got this Acan coral in and I am in love with the colours; however, I have never seen an Acan grow like this. There are a few polyps that are not 'complete' (not fully round). I have also never seen the polyps grow so far apart like this? Usually they are touching and encrust the entire rock? Is this coral healthy? What causes it to grow like that?
