Just moved and can't basement sump my 42g anymore. I've got a Mag5 main circulation pump and an Iwaki MD-30 on a closed loop. Lighting is an Ecoexotic Panorama LED fixture that is hung about 2" above the tank. I'm running into heat issues (tank hit 82 degrees today and would have gone warmer if my Apex hadn't shut down the closed loop) and am trying to figure out the best way to reduce the amount of heat going into the tank now that I don't have a 100g sump sitting on a cold concrete floor to cool things off. I'm thinking that swapping out the closed loop for something along the lines of a pair of Tunze 6015s or an MP10 could help, as turning off the closed loop makes a difference. Not as sure about the best way to go for the main circulation pump. Any suggestions about areas to look at is appreciated.
