heat causing anyone problems?

Hi everybody.

How is your tank doing? Has our recent heat wave been causing anyone issues?

It's about time for me to set my chiller back up. I usually only run it May-October and have been fortunate to not have needed it yet. Tank got to 80.* yesterday. I like to run at 78.

Luckily we have central air conditioning but I my wife only sets it down to 74 degrees so there has been a little rise up to 76-77. What's ****ing me off is some red cyano growing on the left side because of the sun now coming through a window n by the front door and hitting my tank. Time to block that window again.

I typically get up to the low 80s in the summer even though the heaters are set at 77. Doesn't seem to do too much to the coral.

A/C here and a nice little fan that blows over the top of the tank when the halides are on. Does the trick

My tank was up to 82 during out one day of heat this year. I think I will be removing the glass top or placing a fan under the halide to cool things down. My stary night bleached slightly. It's already coming back. Everything else was fine.

No problems here, my tank stays 78-80 depending on the season. I no longer run chillers as all the MH lamps are gone. When I had tanks in my garage I would typically get to 84 for 3-5 hours a day with no issues.
