Heat & Energy Recovery Ventilators

hi,

we have always had humidity issues in the past with only a 75gal total volumn, in the winter our windows sweat a lot, to mitigate this we run a portable dehumidifier but that can get costly, and in the summer it dumps hot air house!

i have looked at other options like a whole house fan but that only works on some cooler nights, not good at all in the winter time, so i think a HRV will work better for us in the winter time and good in the summer when the RH is lower outside, was wondering if anyone have a HRV or any advice before i pull the trigger on this unit: http://www.fantech.net/403791-SHR3005R.pdf

i did a search and did not find many threads on using theses units...
so any advice would be greatly appreicated :)
thanks,

i have talked to a guy thru PMs and was told that his HRV has helped with humidity situation alot, that he had mold/wet issue in his basement, now his RH is as low as 44% but he does not remember what it was before the HRV install, told me to get the largest unit i can get...

i honestly believe this will be an expensive learning experience, i end up purchasing the fantech 3005f and should be arriving next week :)

i was thinking of connecting it to the hvac, and partial to the basement, or maybe a vent switching for house only or fishroom only, not quite sure yet,

i am no expert, not sure about pressures, flows, balance, going to have to learn the hard way :D

any advice is most welcome :)
