Heater Controller

I really like my Finnex HMO-100 with inline digital controller, keeps a very steady temp and has an led display, around $32 depending on size. I'm going to get another as a backup. I went way under recommended size just in case it fails I should notice before it has time to become deadly.

This time of year we run the evap cooler instead of the air conditioner so the house gets like 70 at night and my tank will drop to the low 70s if I dont run a heater to keep it at about 78. Does anyone let their tank just go where it goes?

Heats always been more of an issue for me, I'd run my tank at 75 if I could but keeping it under 80 is the challenge. When things cool off my tank runs around 77 normally.

5-8 in a day is a bit much but a few degrees isn't uncommon and it happens over a period of time pretty slowly.

I tell you what once you get the controller you can go back it’s just too convenient. Temp swing less than 1 degree with it
