What kind of heater should I use for a Bio-Cube 14? I would like to put it in the first well behind the filter pad.

Also, should I do any mods to the system? I did put on a rotating head on the output.

Thanks, Ed

I put the heater in the third compartment with the pump in my BC8.

It's the 50 watt Stealth. It fits perfectly. It should work for your 14 as well.

The reason I wanted it in the the compartment with the pump is so it's thermostat would also register the heat generated by the pump.

I put the sensor for the thermometer in the first compartment to register the temp of the water coming from the tank.

Hope this helps.

I would recommend a 50w Won Pro Heat Titanium heater, mine is extremly accurate and I hardly get any temp swings. The best part of the heater though is the temp dial is located on the plug in for easy access.
