heater location in my 12gal aquapod..

i was just wondering where i could put a heater in my 12gal. aquapod. Has anyone put one somewhere other than the display area. I was thinking of puting one in the return pump chamber. Would this work? I dont have a heater on hand to test for fitment. Thanks in advance!

I think that every single person I have ever read about on the boards puts it in chamber #4, or #3.

I purchased a 12 gallon AP that I haven't set up yet. I am planning on putting it in the 4th chamber for sure.

PS - How is your tank so far?

So far the tank is doing great. I'm right in between 3-4 weeks and my paramaters seem fine. I had an algae bloom a little after a week, but most of it had died off or been taken care of by the clean up crew. I have a scarlet hermit, blue leg hermit, and two margarita snails. I also have 3 hitch hiker snails. I added a small green star polyp frag a couple days ago and it seems to be doing great. I'm going to wait a while for fish, just to make sure everything is perfect. Thank for the interest and i'll try to post pics soon.

fwiw: i have my heater in the third chamber. just make sure it doesn't touch the bottom when you install it and you should be fine.

ok sounds good. Just curious though, y can't it touch the bottom. (newb question )

Ours is in the 3rd chamber. 50w heater in the plastic mounting sleeve with the suction cups. Also upgraded return pump to a maxi-jet 900 w/ a hydor wavemaker.
