Heater problems

My heater burned out and I found my tank at 66 degrees. I have a 300 watt heater from my old tank that I threw in there to heat it back up. The system holds about 60 gallons of water?

Everything looks fine in the tank but I am not sure how quickly to heat it back up. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

I would say that is a good call on two 150 watts. You can do one In overflow and one in the sump if you are able

sLow is better. 66 is not fatal short-term for anything in my own tank. 62 is the danger-point at which some species die. To hasten the recovery, you might crank up the room heat a notch and close the drapes, but it'll get there safely in its own time. Just let the heater work. Rock and sand have held the heated state longest: now they will hold a chill on the way up, but they'll probably be warmed pretty well by tomorrow.
