Heater Reccomendation

going to purchase a heater and trying to decide on either the via aqua titanium heater ( I have one of these currently and have no issues with it ) or the JBJ true temp heater with digital controller. Read some reviews that were not so good. Anyone have any experience with these, are they worth the extra price ??

I have 4 via aqua titanium heaters 2 that are approx. 3 years old no problem with them at all. They are very accurate.

I like the via aqua titanium also, in my experience they last about 3 years or so. Ive also found them and most heaters to be much cheaper online than I've found them to be in LFS.

Might be worth checking out.I swapped out my old visitherm heaters for 2 new Eheim Jager 300w.
In service about a year with no issues.
Good reviews and reasonably priced.

I have good luck with the Jaegers. I also run all my heaters on Ranco temp controls for backup and a quick glance visual temp. Well worth the money.

I use finnex heaters but also like the Jaegers.

I have a couple of systems and one uses 500w titanium heating tubes (no individual thermostat). I've gone through Finnex, Aqua Medic, JBJ and they have either lasted for only one or two heating seasons in which the warranty is conveniently over. Surprisingly the last ones I bought were from Jehmco and they are going on 4 heating seasons strong. For a smaller system, I've had good results with the Via Aqua titanium 250w heaters. They have probably 10 or more years of use for me.
