Heater Recommendation

I am in the market for a heater. What I am using now just isn't cutting it.

The system has about 200 gallons of water in total (tank, sump, etc.), and I am looking for recommendations on brand and wattage.

Thanks,

I use two 250 watt Ebo Jagers in my 180 with a 30 gallon sump. They are the only brand that I have never had problems with!

Via aqua makes a nice unit-no Glass tubes to worry about, indicator light is in a seperate attachment that stays outside the tank and is easy to see when on-off.

I bought three of those, about a year and a half ago. Only one is still working.

Hey Dave, you mite want to look in to some controller that will keep the geothermal loop in motion but only let it mix with the tank water when needed.

Thanks, everyone.

I am thinking about this one:

It is the 800 watt Won Brothers element. I will use it on the AquaController, so I don't really need a controller, unless I want to have a fail safe in place.

Any thoughts?

P.S.: Octavio, I have that covered...we need to get together and I'll show you what I have come up with, or you can see it the the next LIRA meeting:

For what its worth, Jehmco has a titanium one that is preofessional grade for service industries. I have used mine for about 1.5 years and it has been awesome.

Dave, go for 2- 400w, this way if one goofs up, you still have one going, also you get better heat distribution with 2 heaters.

Wow "reef toys" can't miss that presentation :)
