Heaters keep breaking

Yes, +1 on the (dual) Eheim heaters and please run them on a controller. I have a Pinpoint dual stage and it keeps the temp +/- 1 degree.

Alright thank you all for the great input going to be buying a controller asap. I will give the Eheim a try and if these don't do it for me I will be switching to the titanium ones.

+1 on this. All standard hobby heaters are cheap crap, even the so called good ones I would never trust.

I use a titanium heating element only, controlled by a neptune controller. Ideally it would be a Ranco only or used in conjucntion, but either one is so much safer than hobby thermostate controlled heaters. I've been using titanium tubes for years and only had one break, completely my fault for exposing it to air suring a water change...it cooked its rubber endcaps. Finnex is the brand i use btw.

+2
via aqua doesnt make too many awesome products, but this darn thing (titanium element) is a workhorse. no glass and a temp controller is a big plus.i back it up with my apex controller , so a more redundancy

If you are going to put them in your sump keep in mind they're longer than comparable Theo's.

I actually went from Jagers to Theo's because they fit better in my sump.
