Hello from Scotland

I'm an sps addict...and that isn't easy in Scotland.

I run a 60x30x24 sps dominated tank which has been set up since February this year.

The tank is run on a Marine Sources skimmer rated to 2400l and Bio Pearls.

I use Balling Lite...and I'm seeing fantastic growth using the Balling method and the power of an ATI dimmable Sunpower.

Anyway...a few pics.

Ohhh...I like breaking the rules.

I like doing things the wrong way. I keep a Citron Goby with sps for instance...and a few other thing that would be frowned upon.

Anyway...I look forward to posting often

I agree a full tank shot is in order buddy! The corals look fantastic ! You don't mention a heater. Do you use one? And welcome to reef central!

Sorry guys...I ran out of picture space;)

Yeah I use a heater, I actually have 2 in the sump, a 300W and a backup 200W. The 300W is set at 26 degree's and the 200W 25.5 degree's. I have too...I live in Scotland...a warm day is 16 degrees

Thanks folks.

I think I may also have the biggest Lawnmower Blenny in the UK.

He's a full 6.5'' from nose to tail. Having read a bit about them and being reported in the 5-5.5'' range I think I may have out done that size.

I noticed he looked big in the other photos. I had one that died of starvation unfortunatly so you must be doing something right

Balling Lite is a 3 part addition per day through my GHL Profilux.

Sodium Bicarbonate, Calcium and Magnesium.

I also a trace elements into the mix. Iodine, heavy metals and barium/strontium.

I run my tan at 8.5kH, 420 Calcium and 1400 mag.

The GHL doses each element at pre programmed intervals and dosage amounts.

Currently I'm dosing 160ml of alk mix, 40ml of calcium and 12ml of mag per day. This is tested and altered on a weekly basis.

Currently FM....however that will be changing as soon as I run out of the salts.

I can buy a 25kg bag each of calcium and sodium bicarb for less than the cost of 4kg of FM sodium.
