Hello, Geezer coming back to this forum. Paul B

All those gamma rays

Where is my dinner PAUL.

My wife has to be in the hospital at 5:00 am Friday. The hospital is about an hour and a half away.
She is in terrible pain today, so this can't come quickly enough, and I feel so bad because she constantly cries from the pain.
The pain doesn't subside right after the procedure; it may take a week or longer.

I took off her bandage this morning and I was very surprised that there is little swelling and black and blue. But the surprising thing is that she looks exactly like Angelina Jolie. 😎

Actually, she looks a lot better than her.
She thinks that main pain is gone. It's hard to tell because it is still sore from the procedure, but I think this will turn out OK. At least I hope so.

The last time she had this Ryzotomy 15 years ago it wasn't invasive at all. It was just radiation. This time, they knocked her out and inserted a probe in her face and burned the nerve in different places. He had to keep waking her up to ask her where the pain was and it was very painful but they put something in the anesthetic, so she doesn't remember that.

I'm glad she still remembers me. 😬

My fish seem fine, I can tell because many of them are doing the Macarena.
I have no idea how many fish I have because I have so many small, colorful gobies, dragonettes and bleenes along with the "real" fish, but I imagine I have about 40 or so.
If you can't see the pictures try hitting the Xs or just make believe there are fish there

None of these

Of course no spots, torn fins, pop eye, urenema, ich, arthritis, irritable bowel or anything like that. They just swim around, eat and poop but what else do fish have to do except mate and a few are doing that, a little too much I think and it is annoying.

I haven't messed with the tank much in the last year due to my wife's handicap and condition but if I want to see the fish I do have to clean the glass every other day and they get fed "almost" every day.

They still get live whiteworms a few times a week along with LRS food. I really need to feed the worms because I have a long nose butterfly and their mouth is so small they can't fit in much other food except tiny mysis, pieces of clam or worms.

I still feed my Dwarf Red Waspfish live earthworms but they only eat once a week or less.

I never have to mess with the Mandarins as they are about the easiest fish there is and need no care from me.

There is some algae and cyano in places but I consider that a god thing and not something I am going to throw myself off a cliff or anything for.

I just figured I would post something about fish for once.

Last night I went to take a shower and I see that my wife put a large bottle of "Bath Soap" in my shower. But it wasn't really soap, It was "Stress Relief Lavender Body Wash".

I immediately told her that Real Men first of all don't get stress and if they did, Lavender, "make believe" soap is not going to cure it.
Real Men want to smell clean, maybe with a hint of Cro Bar grease.

I read the ingredients, of which there were many, more than the flake and pellet foods many hobbyists feed to their fish, but nowhere could I find the word "soap". Men use soap, not lavender, lemon grass, petunia or any other girly scent.

I took that lavender, stress soap and put it in my garage to wash my car with and got a real bar of soap like men used since they were making hamburgers out of Wolly Mammoths. Now my car smells like a funeral procession.

This morning, after my Cold, dark, beach walk I got home to make breakfast for my wife. On the TV there was this guy supposedly worried that his skin wasn't as smooth and clear as Taylor Swift. Men's skin is supposed to be ruddy, rough with a little, or a lot of hair and maybe a few scars from fights. 😳

I don't know where the real Men went. I miss "The Greatest Generation". My Fathers time when Men didn't get stressed or worry if they have chest hair or if their fish got a spot.

I have a big problem today. My wife is still in pain, maybe more than before the surgery. I am waiting for the surgeon to call me but he is in surgery. As soon as the numbness wore off, the pain started. I don't know if there is an infection or the nerve is irritated but it is getting worse, not better. She can't eat, talk or drink. This surgeon wasn't all warm and fuzzy either, so I hope, "if" he calls me, I don't have to jump through the phone to convince him to do something.

Thank God.! I called my wife's PT therapist who is a friend of her Pain Mgt Dr. She called her on her cell phone and the Dr. called me right back. We are going to her tomorrow morning first thing. She is only about 45 minutes away and usually the nerve block works right away.

The purpose of this Ryzotomy was so she didn't have to get nerve blocks every few weeks. I am not sure if this will work but there are no more options. All the doctors just wantr to do is give her more pain meds which never work, and just put you in a coma without touching the pain.

I don't know how she is going to do this because even a breeze on Dales face causes extreme pain so a needle will really put her over the edge. I don't think she could knock her out on such short notice as that is usually a big deal.

Her Neurologist also got back to me and he is flying over the Gulf of America now on his way of Mexico, but he still called me. We are friends with all these doctors.

Dale got the nerve block yesterday and hit the ceiling with the needles. She is not much, if any better as of last night. It was supposed to work right away but it didn't. I think she was slightly better, but she says she is just getting used to it.

All the doctors say it just has to take time to work. Time is a relative word, especially when it's someone else with the pain. Now they are going to give her morphine.

CVS keeps texting me that they need more information from her doctor and the doctor keeps telling me that she called them twice. So, guess no one knows how to do their job. So far, since yesterday, no morphine. 🙄 .

If this doesn't work, she is scheduled for Gamma Knife.

Hopefully, she will feel better this morning as I am tired of arguing with doctors and drug stores.

Dale just got up and thinks she feels a little better. I am so Freekin Happy. 😀

I hope it is not just a feeling and a sign she is getting better.

Today is my Dales birthday. Unfortunately it will not be a joyous occasion. She s not any better. :(

I am going out now to shovel so I could find my car and open my door. It looks like a foot of snow outside.
