Hello St. Louis...where can I go...

Hi

I am a Board of Directors member from the Greater Iowa Reef Society (GIRS) and I am in town for business tonight.

I was hoping to visit a few reef oriented stores this evening and have seen a few listed here in your forum and the phone book.

I thought I might ask you what 2 or 3 stores are the best to go and see? My tank is SPS dominated so I might enjoy the stores with the best sps selection.

Any suggestions?

I am staying in Maryland Hts. by Harrahs casino if that matters...

Marine Solutions isn't too far from there, just across the bridge on hwy 70.

Clayton Pet Emporium is a must see.

Clayton Pet Emporiam is nice for SPS also Marine Solutions and Belts . You could go by Reef Planet its hit or miss .

Clayton would be worth the 20 min drive. Take 70 east to I-170 south to Forest Park Parkway- east, only one way to go, about 2 miles and take a right on Big Bend, go to the 2nd stop light and make a right on Wydown----DO THE SPEED LIMIT!! ON Wydown!! go about 1-2 miles and it dead ends make a right and look to your left and you will see it. It will be worth your time if you like SPS. good luck and welcome to STL!

I did make it to Marine solutions, Beltds and Clays Pet Emporium.

All 3 were nice, Marine solutions did have a great selection but a little light on sps, Beltdts had a really nice clam tank and a good selection of fish.
Clays had the nicest tanks by far...I ended up buying 2 frags from them. The frags made the drive home just fine today.

I look forward to seeing what they have on my next trip.
