I think its the begining of a red slime algea outbreak.....caused by high phosphates which can also explain why your green tip leather not opening up..LFS sell phosphate reducers products look in to it. And a waterr change should do the trick

oh crap.... well then water change is in the near recent future.... how many water changes a week can one do?

your fine dont rock the boat, all your corals look healthy, good job. and you wouldnt want to do more than a 15-20% water change in a week.

Yes Mr dont rock the boat and you just got wiped out haha....j\k lol! The trick with red slime algae is to take care of it quick when it appears cause if you let it go it will get out of control fast.....just my two cents

hmm ok... we just did a filter change today... added new carbon.... and finally restarted the skimmer (it was grounded since it decided to clog up and spill water on the floor)... i think it learned its lesson....hopefully that helps... and maybe next thursday or wednesday we do a water change... that shouldnt rock the boat too much.... i hope haha

ok so to take care of it.... right now its only on that little frag piece.....so should i take out the frag piece and place it somewhere else while the slime dies?

or do you have a phosphate remover thing that you recommend?

i rather treat it now, before we move everything to the new tank....

Got new fish a while back... flame angel and i forgot the other ones name... we call him torpedo cuz he swims alot and fast

well i know i have been saying it for a while now... but the new tank should be up soon.... i hope... we decided to weld up a stand rather than deal with the wood stand we had built... so once that is up for sure i will do a full tank shot...

this should be my last post on this thread considering i am starting a new one to reflect our new 85 gallon

but yea, here is my GPS rock... its got some "bumps"growing on it... could someone kindly tell me what they are please?
