Help 6100.10 constant stream.

Looking for some troubleshooting advice. Reently I got 2 Tunze 6100.10 pumps with the 7240.27 drivers from a member of our local club. I finally got them wired in to my Apex Lite via an Aquasurf module last night. I programmed the Apex last night and turned everything on. One of the pumps is running the program correctly while the other one is staying at a constant power (I'm assuming 100%). I went over the Apex programming and don't believe that is the problem. The Aquasurf module's lights are flashing alternately on P1/P2 which leads me to believe the it is recieving the correct commands from the base unit. One pump is pulsing in rythym with the Aquasurf lights while the other is operating at a constant power when it should also be pulsing.

At this point, with my limited knowledge of these pumps and the drivers I believe there may be a problem with one of the 7240.27 Drivers. When I switch the Din5 cables from the Aquasurf to the drivers the problem is replicated but on the opposite pump. So I am confident the issue is not with the Apex Lite, Aquasurf or the pump itself. But I could be wrong.

Just looking for some thoughts or ideas. Maybe some troubleshooting steps I could do to isolate the issue.

Thanks,

Mike

It sounds like the cable, if the problem follows that cable to the driver, it must be the cable.

Roger, thanks for helping out. before you posted I was don at one of the local fish stores here in Minneapolis and by my description the guy helping out said it was probably a bad cable. Luckily they stock them so I brought one home everything is working fine.

By the way, everyone I have talked over the last couple of days, from the local stores to our local clubmembers has mentioned your name and what great customer service you guys have. So I kind of chuckled one I got home tonight and saw you responded to my thread! I am already thinking about upgrading to the newer pumps!

Thanks,

Mike
