when i came how from work i found my anemone stuck to the intake of my powerhead. he was tentacle first but i manaed to get him out. he is deflated and looks like he was stuck on there for awhile. do u think he can survive or should i take him out

i willl get one up tomorrow. he looks a little better. he has half his tentacles out and my clown is in him. he is laying on his side in the middle of my tank.

What type of anemone?

But, since it was the tentacles that were stuck, that is the best thing (( well, the best part of a bad situation )).

Given time and TLC, it can make a full recovery. Just make sure to keep your water parameters in check, and cover the powerheads.

For reference, this is what I came home to a couple of years ago,

Right after being removed from the powerhead,

2 weeks later, can see the new tentacles growing back,

About a month and half later,

+1 Toddrtrex, very helpful. I wish I would have done that when that happened to my anemone. After 3 goes through the PH though and he bit the dust. Even after I closed them off he wanted to get in I guess. Maybe some help and ideas as how to screen off the PH to keep the anemones out.
