Help - Anemones stuck!

My anemone is stuck in my power head, I have turned it off but cannot get it out. If I leave it off will it slowly move itself out?

It will if it's still alive.
Pulling it out by yourself is a touchy subject because it depends on how bad the anemone is and how experienced you are in dealing with anemone.

You could always cut a fin or two out of the powerhead to pull it out depending on how far in there it is.

It's definitely still alive, the foot is still attached to the glass. Not sure if I can remove the power head without doing more harm. I am hoping that if I leave it be for awhile it will pull itself out. It looks like some parts have already started to release from the slots in the power head. Ugh!

ive lost many anemones that way...never caught them in time to save them... good luck with your catastrophy dude...

chances are it will pull itself out and be ok but you never know ive had it go both ways just let it sit with the powerhead off and watch it for the next few days

This just recently happened to my new gigantea. The morning after I added him to the tank, he got himself shredded and stuck in my Vortech MP10. I gave him a day to work himself free but I did help him loose, very slowly and gently, at the end. Fortunately, the damage was limited to his outer edge and not the foot or mouth areas.
I consider myself lucky as my nem is looking like he will make a full recovery.
So, there is hope that yours could recover too.

Yeah, copy what sonofgaladriel did, and most likely as long as foot/mouth are in tact you'll be ok, but do something to keep this from happening later, cover intake or something.

Yeah, the anemone has released it's self. Doesn't look to be to torn up. Hopefully it will be fine.
