help ! angelfish ingested air

My angelfish ingested air and is now experiencing buoyancy problems, unable to remain at the tank bottom. Despite attempting manual burping, the issue persists. Can he expel the trapped air naturally without intervention? Thank you for your help, this fish really help me to concentrate when i monitor backlinks..

Gas bubble 'disease' is one possibility.

You say you tried to remove the gas. If you followed the proper procedure then that is about all you can do. Hopefully the fish has had good nutrition and has enough 'fat' to fall back on while trying to deal with the problem.

I have known fish to deal with the problem on their own, but that is rare, in my experience. Depends on how severe the condition is.

Bloated fish with buoyancy problem is not because of air swallow. It is because of infection of the swim bladder or in the abdominal cavity. Anaerobic infection cause gas to form.
I would treat that fish with antibiotic, especially one mainly for anaerobic like penicillin or metronidazole.
