Okay I bought what they said was a new Lifeguard Aquatics 5000 Pump of those 2 guys at the end of the road at the garage with all the rocks and Large Skimmer and reactor. Well I got home plugged it in and its not working took it apart and its missing the whole magnetic impeller thing. Now I pretty sure they did not realize it was missing and not trying to scam me so.

I don't know if anybody knows them or has there contact information they can send it my way or if you guys are reading this message please get a hold of me so we can fix this issue.

I'm not sure how much you paid for it but, the replacement impellers are $40 online, if it comes to that anyways.

So you didn't inspect the pump prior to purchase?

I did a glance inspection yes I looked at it, looked new took the cover saw no sign of use. But I did not do a complete tear down of the unit were I could see if it had an Impeller. What the point of your question to justify the sale because I did not do a complete break down I guess shame on me. But since it was sold as new and I had no reason to think of malice intent I did not do that.

Yes I agree its not like you carry a screwdriver with you and tear the product apart to inspect it when you are told it is new....it is bull if that person told you it was new and this is how you have received it as missing parts....so far everyone on here that I have done business with has been very honest an generous so I would be surprised if they are on this site.....but I could be wrong and I'm sure if that was the case I'm sure everyone would like to know who it is so we can bring tools with us next time they are selling something...:mtool:

I honestly believe ( or wanna believe) That they might not have know or realized it was missing. They had a lot of stuff so I am hoping it was just an easy misunderstanding I talked to the two of them for a while they seemed nice I would say.

They are not "regulars" at FAOIS but Chris and I believe we've narrowed down who they might be. Please call the shop and we'll give you the contact information they provided.

Thank you I was able to contact them and there going to figure it out. thanks again.

Yet another reason why we love John and Chris at F.A.O.I.S. Even when it is not their product/sale and they are just hosting the event, they took care of the customer and got them a potential resolution.

You guys should open a school for other business owners. Then again, you would probably make more money there and close FAOIS. Never mind, forget that idea. LOL

I'm sad that I couldn't go this time around, but I've heard great things about the TOYS for ICHTHY stuff.

Keep up the good work guys!

So looks like I am stuck with a 60 dollar paper weight the guy says he does not have the Impeller and he will not giver my money back or partial credit to buy the new impeller his exact quote is

"Sorry that's not how it works at garage sale. I'll take a look for the part unless that doesn't work for you. I didn't ask for a refund for the light I bought that needed work, I take that into account for getting something for practically nothing".

I Have tried to continue to ask him to take care of this and now he is ignoring me not sure what to do. I'm not sure if I want to put more money into it or take the 60 dollar hit since I have no clue if even works if I get a new impeller.

Post his name So we dont make the same mistake with him....And yes he should refund all your money or at least help pay for a new impeller...Just my thoughts. I would be ****ed if it was me.
