HELP:Breeding Tank Questions?

I have a 29 gallon biocube, and I just got 2 clownfish, 2 days ago. They have already decided which is male&female. I would like to breed them. I am curious if this tank will work for breeding. It has a GSP,Fire Shrimp, 3 Snails, 2 Hermit Crabs, about 13 lbs of live rock and about 7 lbs of non-live rock. I am wondering if it will be tough to get the eggs out of the tank, if they do spawn. I already have a 14 gallon tank, for the babies. Also what would I need if they do have eggs. Thank you for any help! :)

As long as they are the only fish they will be better. The clean up crew could try to eat the eggs I guess. Get a book called clownfishes by Joyce Wilkerson, it is a good book that explains the breeding process.

Thats plenty of room for a pair of clowns and maybe a peacfull small blenny. Once they pick a favorite spot slip in a small tile near them, hopefully they'll pick it for spawning.

I've never seen my crabs or shrimp able to get even close to the eggs, the clowns watch them closely.

That great news thank you and I will check out that link
Would I be able to get a scooter blenny or algae bleny
Thank you for the help I will keep you posted if anything happens

not sure of what tile like a wooden one a plastic one, I know not to put a metal one in also where could I find it home depot or something?
Thank you for any further replies

I think they are starting to clear off a rock but it is on my green star polyp would that be ok to move to another tank with the eggs?

Let the first couple of clutches go the natural route. Let the clowns settle in and get their routine set. After that, place a tile near their selected site and let them lay on the tile (makes it easy to remove to a hatching tank).

Ok thank you Also one more question how long do you think they will take to start laying their eggs?
Thank you I appreciate you taking the tim to answer my many impatient questions. :)

That works for me thank you everyone for all the knowledge you have given me.
will post if anything seems to be going on with the fish.
Thank you very very much!!!!!!!

Check out the various clown fish breeding books. Frank Hoff's is the current standard, Joyce Wilkerson's is out of print. Grab one if you find it.
