Help catching a clown

I have had my maroon clown for about 8 years with no problems. That fish has seen the good, bad, and very ugly. But for the past 6 or so months it has pestered me every time I put my hands in my tank. Biting me and knocking over any frag I try to glue in his area. My buddy just broke his tank down and has 4 cute perculas that I wanted. Short story long, it's time for the maroon to go. I had to get the maroon out before I put the perculas in. Not willing to break down a 165gal fully stocked reef, I had to catch this fish. My friend and I each had a net in hand with a stick in the other trying to corse the fish in the net. An impossible task, no. After a few unsuccessful minutes my regal angel joins in on the catch. The regal sees we are going for the maroon and starts biting the clown and dragging it up to the top so we could net it. It took the regal about three tries until we got it. I have never witnessed anything like it but my regal knew what was going on and was down for the removal. We would still be trying to net that maroon if it wasn't for my regal. Just sharing.

The only damage we did were a couple unexpected frags. I couldn't believe it. We tried for about a half an hour only getting a few chances but no luck. Once the Regal stepped in it was around ten minutes later and we swooped him. Now the Regal shares the crown with a pinktail trigger.

That it cool. Video would have been sweet.

I know - get out the video cam and toss that maroon back in there! :lmao:
