This is my first chalice, well i was told it is a chalice. If this is incorrect please let me know.

Right now i have it on the bottom of myy tank that is 24" away from 4- 39 watt t5's.
It has low flow. Can anyone see what I need to change by looking at these photos, the tank is 82 F Thanks for ur time.

As for temp your getting close to the high side. I usually run my tank at 78-79.

What is your Magnesium at? I found out that if mag is low it affects your chalices. Mag usually good around 1300-1500 ?

The chalice has only been in the tank for 4 days, would bad mg levels and alk already cause damage? I will test when i get home.

it just looks really stressed out. just ry and feed it. if it feeds it might be ok. i also heard about mag levels affecting chalices. idk if 4 days i enough tho. when i received my watermelon tyree chalice.. it shoed skeleton on the outside (being tightly closed). its now much better, and it ate last night. so i would say try and feed it. and do a waterchange (which may help with mag levels)

ive had my tank at 88 degrees over the summer, and lost nothing. so idk abot temps. (nothing even bleached so... knock on wood (for this summer)).
