These aren't all SPS, but I'd appreciate helping on all?
All the images are under MH only - no blue or UV.

more to come... please correct my identification if I get it wrong.

I think what you labelled as "Stylophora" is a birds nest Seriatopora Hystrix, maybe in lower flow, giving it more rounded tips instead of sharp tips?

And the M. Peltiformis sorta like M. Danae to me because of the lack of nodules, but it's really hard to tell between encrusting montipora.

Not sure if you've seen this site or not, but it's the holy bible of coral identification:

Your think it's a birdsnest? It's very bushy... I'll post my Seriatapora colonies next to check. Those are very pointy.

I thought Danae was a lot more bumpy, but ok. Thanks.

Thanks for the website. I need one that starts with pictures so I can find pics -> names instead of names -> pics.

I'll have to study it to be able to use it well.

I've been using this one, by the way - http://animal-world.com/Aquarium-Coral-Reefs/Plating-Montipora-Coral

Yea, it's tough until you get a hold on it. The funny part is that even when you think you have a hold on it, you read something like this Advanced Aquarist article on M. Danae, and the guy who literally wrote the book on corals, JEN Veron, even says that growth in an aquarium can change the features and coloration of the corals to something unnaturally found in the ocean, so it complicates identification even more.

Also, for what it's worth, I don't like using "names" of corals (i.e. "Green Slimer") unless you bought it as that with lineage to back it up. I know they're handy to identify what a coral looks like, since most of the acros in circulation are one of 10 or 15 species, but there's a difference between something being a GARF Purple Bonsai which originated from GARF in their decades of growth under low-light low-flow conditions and something that "looks like a GARF Purple Bonsai" which are usually just maricultured corals that have similar coloration, but may not hold their color when moved to closed systems with lower light and flow than their breeding ground in the actual ocean. I suppose in the scheme of keeping boxes full of living things from thousands of miles away alive in your living room, names don't matter much, but for serious collectors, it's a big deal. Dunno, just something to consider.

Either way, very nice corals so far. Are you running this under 6500K or 10K? Looks pretty yellow, and I don't think you've got your natural light setup going yet, right?

This is 10K MH and about due to be changed :D

I agree on the "naming". When I bought them, that was the name I got from the seller.

It's in the middle top area

Most of my frags start as discarded rescues at the LFSs, so I don't know what they are until they recover and show some shape and color. I know that makes it hard to tell...

But it feels good to rescue a wilting frag... and see it blossom.

Karim, those sps are beautiful! You are sure doing something right!
Michelle

Thanks! I think it's a lot of kalk, feeding a lot, exporting a lot and having no mechanical filtration.

I don't know what they all are and I'm getting ready to sell them since they're growing into each other. I had no idea I had so many different kinds. I thought it was just the breaking and fragging out of control.

I think that's all of the SPS.. I'll go double check

I know that my picture taking skills are terrible - they're iphone pics.

Thanks to all helping ID. If you want me to take some closer pics, I can try.

30 is beautiful. Wish I were local, I'd take a frag. Looks like a nice smooth skin, which people generally call "deep water" even though there are shallow smooth skin corals.

I'll post some more in a few, but most of them look like various forms of (26) acropora, (27) porites, (28) pocillopora, and some other stuff. Neat collection, especially since they're all rescues.

Thanks. I really appreciate the help.

#30 wasn't doing well high in the tank. I moved it to the bottom and it's much better. It looks fluorescent green under UV only.

They do look different with the UV turned on. #30 under UV looks like this:

Don't mind all the slime - I was feeding during a surge and I think the combination of food and bubbles makes some of the SPS slime. They retract the slime and eat it with the food attached, I think.
