Help diagnose my golden puffer

My big golden puffer (nearly a foot) eats like a champ. Crab clusters, clam, silversides, meaty fish like salmon and mahi. All typically soaked with aminos and selcon. He eats better than I do,.....but his skin appears discolored. He does not have ick but some golden areas are blotchy white.

Sorry for the horrible I phone photo but this is what I got.

Would it hurt to add some anti-parasitic/anti-bacteria food to the mix (Dr. G's is what I already have).

Thanks for your input.

Dont know much about puffers but at a foot how old is it and how old do they get? Could it just be signs of age?

Skin discoloration is normal on puffers. They change their skin colors in response to amount of light, stress, and mood. Also, as they age, their colors also change too. Both of my golden puffers have varying skin colors.

I wouldn't worry if his behavior is otherwise normal.

Exactly my experience as well.
