Help feeding clown tang

I got a clown tang a couple weeks ago. He was fat and happy, and even eats when I feed, he just doesn't seem to be eating enough and I am starting to worry about him. He is beginning to get sunken in under his eyes, and looks thinner. I feed San Francisco Marine Cuisine and Emerald Entree, which he picks at, but he just isn't aggressive and doesn't get enough. I also put sheets of seaweed salad in on a clip, but he doesn't touch those yet. My blue hippo tang, and other fish are getting real fat and happy because I have been feeding more trying to get this tang to eat enough.

Please help, any suggestions on what else to feed him?

rubber band some sheet algea to a bunch of small rocks and place them around the tank.

When I got mine I had to put him in my frag tank for a few weeks and get him eating like that, them moved to the clips and then started him on frozen foods. Once he was fattened up a bit and eating well I moved him into the tank.

I agree with what enderG60 said, and I would add, be sure to soak his food in garlic.

also, is he in the 150g? if so, you will need a MUCH bigger tank for him soon, because they get to be very very aggressive and very very large.

Not a good choice for a 150 gallon tank. Assuming the clown tang does start to eat, the only result will be a fish that will terrorize the rest of the tank inhabitants.

Help feeding clown tang? Find a large trigger, puffer, grouper or eel. If they don't eat the clown tang instantly upon introduction into the water, spear it with a feeding stick and waive it in front of their face.

In the case you wanted to get the clown tang to eat, try some pellets :) - they are good at adding bulk and size. New Life Spectrum is a good choice. Mysis shrimp are a good choice too.
