Help Finalize Pump Selection

Ready to purchase my Tunze pumps for my new setup.....Tank dimensions are 72"Lx48"Wx27"H.......Overflow box is an external overflow on 1 end of the tank.

My initial plan is to use (2) 6255 mounted on the end of the tank where the overflow is located. Additionally I'd like to employ (2) 6095's along the front of the tank blowing towards the back panel angled in from the corners.....I already know the 6095 magnets aren't strong enough for the acrylic, but special mounts will be made.

Would this flow combination be enough for a dominated SPS and what would your pump location be as well.....Not looking for mad waves or such in my tank, but effective, strong flow minimizing dead spots......

Chris, that will definitely be enough flow.

As for placement, it sounds like you're doing a peninsula style tank? The stream from the 6255 can reach about seven feet, so it should work fine even with both on one end of the tank. Final placement will depend a lot on how you arrange the corals and rocks, but if you want to post a diagram or picture, I might be able to give other suggestions.

Thanks Craig!!!!

The tank will be an in wall setup of sort....The 1 end of the tank will be viewable while the other end with the overflow will be hidden in wall.

As you can see I'm still working on placement of rock and such, but the overflow is on the far right end of the tank....You can see the cutouts for the overflow teeth also in the top right of the tank. My initial idea is to mount the 6255's underneath the overflow pointing towards the exposed end of the tank......
