it's difficult for them to fully recover from bleaching and they usually dont. i dont think 1 t5 would be enough to keep them happy or recovering

T5's are plenty capable of maintaining healthy anemone's - it all depends on the details around it: wattage, bulbs, number, ind. reflectors, fans.... To categorically say T5's won't work is untrue.

If your clownfish is too aggressive with your anemone, it won't help it recover. When my BTA was sucked into a powerhead and reduced to a silver dollar sized left over I had to build a special cage for it so my GSMs wouldn't smother it to death. It eventually grew back to health after a few months of growth, so as long as your anemone is getting some kind of nutrients from food or any photosynthetic activity left it should live long enough to recover.

yea i noticed it when my baby pair getting kinda aggressive that my bta started to hide and that when i had to take it out and place in qt for few month. but now it getting bigger n move to my more mature tanks wit the older pair tht already made bond wit the other nemmy. i have two 29 gals tanks both are running on dual ho t5. My first 29 gal tanks have the 20 sump running. Now im working on my 15 gal rimless with led. Well the reason is i have to abide the college rule. I refuse to downgrade my 29 to 15 gal so why start a new one:lol2:

running a t5 it seem to be growing. i just need to update the pic. sry i will do it when i get home from my trip .

what i had perceived was that he was running 1 t5 bulb. not saying that t5s wont work. power compacts can even work to keep a bta alive and healthy

I couldn't agree more. I would start feeding this anemone and I bet you would be surprised how fast it recovers.
