help id this starfish please

Got him at Coral Reef in Fort Wayne, IN. Klaus said they come from Fiji and max out at 3 inches. Normally I wouldn't buy something without knowing the species, but I've bought stuff from this store for more than a decade and Klaus has never given me bad advice or livestock

first guess would be a red or orange linka star. Some people have luck with them (I've had a blue in my tank for ages), others don't. IME they seemt o do well in larger well established systems

He's been in the tank for about a month now, moving around quite a bit and looks good

yes a linkia but im not sure hes right about the size but i could be wrong as well anyways nice star hope he does well for u. ok my bad size is correct sorry

Thanks guys....really enjoy this guy, hope he does well also. He's been in the tank since 11.28.09 and I did an 8 hr acclimation (drip line from dt into floating container in sump) so I think he'll be ok. BTW, dt is a 210g w/2.5 y.o. rock
