Help ID'ing green filamentous "whirled" macroalgae

I've tried looking through a few keys online to figure out what this is, but haven't been successful. Unfortunately I have no idea what location it's from, but it's a green macroalgae with each branch possessing numerous whirls of fine filaments. Branches are connected by an extremely thin rhizome, and these can attach to rock. The circular whirls are no larger than 1/4 inch. Below I've attached a few photos. Thanks for taking the time to look and any ideas. -Steve

I got it locally (in Rochester, NY) from a LFS. They've got it in their clownfish tank and the babies seem to love hiding in it.

I do think C. verticillata is the correct ID...I actually got an independent identification from a former professor of mine that studies algae. It's not growing that rapidly yet, but I've only had it for about 2 weeks so we'll see. As for concerns in the other thread regarding its ability to grow out of control; I'm not worries. Before adding anything to my refugium I check whether my foxface and kole tang will eat the macro....they both readily chomped this up. Thanks.
