Where did you pick it up? Online/LFS or has it been established with a local reefer for a while?

What size tank?
What lights? (( did you acclimate it to your lights? ))
What are your current water parameters -- with numbers.
How long has the tank been set up?
Has it ever buried its foot in the sand?
What are you feeding it?
Has anything changed recently ?

For the mouth to be open that much is not a good thing, and it does not open up that wide to expel waste.

i have a 90g tank with a 20g sump, i have 2 48'' marineland LED reef capable strips total 0f 6680 lumens. my current water parameters are P.H.-8.2 Nh3/Nh4 -0ppm No2 -0ppm no3 0ppm calcium approx 460 ppm tank has been set up since aug 2011. its foot is buried in the sand and has been since i got it 3 weeks ago. i am feeding it krill/brine shrimp/myces shrimp. and no nothing has changed. i bought it from a VERY reputable dealer here in NJ. its has looked great since i got it 3 weeks ago, my reef has a wide variety of soft corals (i.e. star polyps, mushrooms, torch corals) and inverts which are all uneffected. if there is anything else you can think of please ask your help is greatly appreciated.

What is your Salinity/SG?

Do you know how long the LFS had it?

The reason I ask is that it is somewhat common for S. haddonis to start doing this after shipping. If it starts to do this regularly I would be very concerned. I would get ready to do a water change tomorrow and run some fresh carbon.

my bracometer is no working as of right now but am planning on buying a new one tomorrow. i know for a fact that it was a new arrival when i bought it at the store, i was told it was kept for observation for 7 days. i does seem to be getting a bit better ( its not so scrunched up any more and the mouth is no small)
