Help ! Is my Toadstool Dieing ??

Hi,

Argh !

Well i'm getting worried about my toadstool now.

It hasn't fully opened up for about 3 days now. I got it from my friend about 5 days ago it opened up really nice the first day but its been looking a bit sorry for it self now. The polyps open up a tiny little bit in the morning but the disc hasn't fully opened since monday.

As you can see in the pictures there are like some lines appearing on the top and one of the tips look yellow. I'm really getting worried as i don't want it to die on me, and i can't add it to my friends tank has he is on holiday and won't be back for 8 days. Any Ideas tested my levels and there below:

PH: 8.1
Nitrite: 0ppm
Ammonia: 0ppm
Nitrate: 10ppm

p.s i have another small toadstool and that seems fine with most of the polyps extended.

Just for info instead of pasting the url to your photos to the thread, you can cut and paste the tag (the very bottom box under the pic on the photo bucket websight). If you do this the pic will show up in your post and not the URL. Not a very big deal ecept for those of use that can acess photo bucket from work. Thanks

Okay Sorry Dude only reason i didn't do it was there pretty large and i don't have an editing program at home.

I am not a leather wiz, but from what i read they have a tendency to close up and sometimes even shed some slime, it is normal and should pass. Try pointing a powerhead twards it to make sure its getting good flow.

Well it opened up fully yesterday with about 80% of the polyps open they were about half and inch. I took some pictures of it so will post it up when i get home from work.

The only thing that is still worrying me is that it closes about 2 hours before lights out , and if you look at the pictures i posted it like develops lines on the head any idea ?? they usually disappear next morning.

Also . . .

It was opened up so much yesterday that the disc was swaying in the current of the water is that usually ??
