Help me catch my Yellow Tang, so I can relocate him to a bigger tank.

So I have had a Yellow Tang in my 65g tank for over 3 years. I was told this was OK when I started the tank back then. So after a few months I got a very small 1. He was doing great up until a week or 2 ago. He is 5" now and has developed HIH I think. I wan't to get him a better home, but I can't catch him. He still eats like a pig and is swimming fine, but I really think its time for a bigger tank for him. I would really appreciate any tips on how to cath him without destoying my tank and stressing my other fish and corals to much. But he is fairly timid when I start working in the tank, so it might be tough. I am thinking I am going to have to coax him with food somehow, but don't know how.

A fish trap is the only way to go. I have had to remove some fish, or take out some fish temporarily to let new fish settle in and it was nearly impossible before I got a trap. Put the trap in the tank, bait it, wait very short time and... caught. It may seem like forever while you're waiting for the fish to go in but in reality in usually takes less than 15 mins!
I have a different model but here is an example:

+1 Fish trap... I tried catching my sailfin in the dark, with my hands, with a fishing line with no luck.. I got a fish trap and within 2 days he was eating from the trap and the next day I got him.. No problem. Your LPS might have one to rent out... Good luck

I think I will have to try a trap. He is a little timid once I get my hands in the tank though. Maybe I can put it in a few hours before feeding them put the food in there later?

Well it doesn't look to good, IMO. I put in a piece of Nori this afternoon and everything was fine. I just got done feeding my fish now, and I have a very bad feeling. The YT would not come out and eat. Which is very unual, he is usually not the first 1 out, but he always comes out. He was just hiding in a cave. I spayed some food in there and he ate it, but what really worries me is his breathing. It looked like he was breathing very heavy. I am worried he won't make it another couple of days for me to coax him into a trap. And especially if he won't come out to eat. What could cause this out of the blue? These are the only things I can think of

#1 I ordered a bunch of snails about a month ago, I tried to not let any water get in my tank but when I was floating the bags 1 got sucked down somehow and some water defintely got out.

#2 I ordered some corals a few weeks ago and maybe I got some water in then, I doubt it since I dipped everything. So thats unlikely.

#3 My friend broke down his 150g, and has a 12 nano temporarily while he gets a 40 breeder or something like that. So he asked me to hold onto he Crocea clam since his lights in the nano can't handle it. Plus he needed to get rid of some fish so I took 2 very tiny Green Chromis. About 1" each. I netted the fish from the bag after acclimation so I don't think I got any water that way. But the clam was tricky. I didn't want it to be out of the water. So I acclimated it and floated the open bag and quickly pulled it out and put it in the tank. Not much but a little bit of the water probably got in my tank.

So is it possible that through any of these events that a disease was introduced into my tank?

I guess I over reacted last night. Everything seems fine today. He actually looks a lot better than he has been.
