Help me choose!

My pair of Clowns just died last month and I'm interested in getting a new pair. What do you recommend getting?

How big is your tank, and what other species of fish do you have if any? How did both of your clowns die also?

Its hard to beat a pair of black ocellaris though, but I am biased since I have a pair. I just got a pair of true perculas which are pretty cool also.

a pair of picasso clowns would be awesome..but black and whites are sweet too..heres mine..

There's so many amazing choices for clownfish. I don't have any, but I'd like pink skunks some day. I have a maroon, a pair of ocellaris, and a pair of perculas.

Pink Skunks are very under-rated IMO.

Thanks for the advice guys, I have a 180 gal tank. My fish include the following:

1 Foxface
1 Flame Angel
1 Coral Beauty
1 Hippo Tang
1 Achilles Tang
1 Red Mandarin
2 Psychedelic Mandarins
4 Fire fish
1 Purple fire fish
1 Sleeper goby
1 Blue Spotted Jaw fish
1 Fairy Wrasse
1 Bourbon Anthias
1 Fathead Anthias
2 Helfrichi firefish
2 Blue Damselfish
1 XL Blue green Chromis
1 Canary Damselfish

One got stuck under the pump and the other clown died 3 days after that... they seemed healthy and were eating daily.

Do you think I can fit 2 pairs of clowns in the tank?

I wouldn't put 2 pairs in there -- for two reasons.
1) already have a large bio-load for that tank, wouldn't want to add to it.
2) While there are a few exceptions, mixing 2 different pairs of clowns won't work long term (( more then 2 years )). You will most likely end up with one spawning pair, and one dead pair.

thanks Todd, i'm thinking about getting true perculas or picassos, what do you think?

A pair of either one would work. Not nit-picking, just for information, Percs and picassos are both the same species, picassos are just have different "bars"

I've really started to fall in love with sumatra clarkii. They have a wonderful coloration that is a little darker than the others.

+1 on not getting anymore fish and if you do, dont get something cheap so it wont be that bad if you lose it. i wouldnt ever risk losing 2 picassos
