I got some sodium nitrate and I want to make a stock solution out of it. I've made one for KNO3 but would prefer to use sodium nitrate since I can't test for potassium and, well... I bought some sodium nitrate. I used an aquarium fertilizer calculator for the KNO3, but it doesn't do NaNO3 and since the amount of NO3 is different in each solution, I would be off if I used that calculator.
250mL or 500mL container, tank is a 72 bow, probably about 62g once you factor in all my rock and sand. I'd like to raise my tank by small amounts; 1-2ppm. I need to know how many grams of NaNO3 to dilute, and how many mL I would have to put into the tank to raise my NO3 by 1 or 2 ppm.
Thanks!
