Help me decide

Looking to install a tank in the wall
a deep blue 60 cube with basement sump
or a Gallon NUVO Fusion 40 Aquarium all in one
going to remove to closet and have a wall of glass
i love the idea of the all in one tank
but more water and room with the basement sump
what to do.?????????

I'd go with the basement sump.

+1 on the basement.
That space looks pretty tight. It will be hard enough to work in a tank, much less all the supporting equipment.

I M going to chop the whole wall out and redo it
Open it up more
And I think your all right. Basement sump and 60 cube
Time to order some stuff

Id do the larger tank and sump.. But I'd just put the sump right under the tank and have a cabinet door to access it..
Just easier/less energy IMO..

If you can swing it, basement sumps are awesome. Way more room for equipment, no noise at the display, etc. I wish my current house had a basement. It wouldn't even be a close call.

I would def do a larger display if possible and absolutely do a basement sump if you're able to do so. Nothing worse than Being cramped under a stand.

Oh, and have you considered putting a small floor drain under the tank. Worst case scenario, you get an overflow situation and water just flows down into the basement rather than flooding what looks like your office. When I had a basement, I set up a shower drain for that purpose. Never had to use it but is was good piece of mind.
