Hey guys I am looking to add a new eye catching coral in the next month or so. I think I only have 2 types of LPS. A nice cup coral and sun coral. In this pic on the left side in the sand is the spot that needs to be filled. (all the frags will be gone by them)

Sorry for the blue it was lights out in the tank at the time

I saw a nice piece of LPS on nano-reef.com don't know whats its called though here's the link http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=124558 its the big red guy at the bottom left. I need something I can put in the sand and would love it to be red :) If you have any suggestions please post post some pics if you can.

thanks
Dave

that is a trachophyllia open brain in the pic, I was going to reccommend an open brain, I have a green trach radiata(or wellsophyllia), try to find a red one if you want, but it would be a great choice for that spot. Here is my guy, he now expands to about twice that size, very easy to keep indicator brain.

Blastomussa wellsi.....there are all kinds of color variations but you can get an all red one. There is a thread in the LPS forumn with pics of all the different variations...one of my favorite and fastests growing corals. There are also red lobophyllias. My avatar is a bad picture of a blastomussa wellsi....except two variations of green centers. I also have an all red frag.

There is a ridiculously sweet and rare Red fungia, cyclerosis(spelling) at cquarium.com Pricey for a fungia repanda(or the like) but yet very red, rare, good lucking and perfect for that substrate.

Yeah thats what I am looking for. I don't know much about them yet and have got rid of the frags I had in that corner. I will have to do my homework before I buy anything. Anyone else
