Help me I think it's time

For sometime now I have been fighting to keep my calcium up. My very large clams have been a big draw on my 300gal SPS system. So I have been seriously thinking of selling at least 2 my gigas and maybe one of my squamous or possibly just my gigas. Only thing is I'm very protective of these guys and want them to go some where they can thrive. I had thought of donating but can't, we have no local aquariums around. My gigas has grown another 1"(making it at least 14"maybe more) since it went in the new tank and the squamous about 1/2"(13"or more). I wish we had an aquarium around that way I could visit them. As you see I would rather they get a good home rather than me get $$ for them but not may people have a big enough tank for my babies. I don't know if US Public Aquariums have any kind of pull with cities to take them into the US. Also don't know how to go about that route either, any one that could advise me please do. If this was possible I let all 3 big guys go at the sametime.

Gosh, sounds like you are running a top notch system and I can imagine how hard it's going to be to give them up. Perhaps you could contact some public aquariums and see if they'll take them. They can explain about the rules of shipping clams across-the-border. I'm sure they would find a way to take them, and then you could feel relieved that they will be expertly taken care of. Also, what about a marine biology department at a university? And, then just plan a vacation to the city where your clams are located! :D
