Help me ID this strange Anemone?

I've been told Purple Long Tentacle anemone however when I look these up online they look like they sit in the sand and become about the size of a hotdog.

Let me tell you what this one does, it sends out its tentacles up to a 1ft away from itself to collect substrate and particles to feed and/or build its nest with, stays on the live rock and has built two homes which he changes from time to time. I cannot see a mouth as his tubes face downward, and have never caught him switching between homes however he seems to do this very quickly (1-2 minutes) when he wants.

He does not seem to sting shrimp or my goby, nor does he harm corals.. infact sometimes he grasps a food pellet or piece of shrimp meat and brings it up to the tube but drops it and does not consume it. Currently he is in a 14 gallon biocube, was a hitchiker on a nice piece of live rock.

Please help me ID this, its in my girlfriends first tank and we have no idea how to care for him. I've looked long and far for pictures and/or videos of something simular. He seems very happy and filters the sand and live rock constantly, always moving his tentacles. I've been adding iodine and calcium just incase.. but she wants to make this a seahorse tank eventually, if I can confirm he indeed does not sting or aggrevate them it seems like he would get along with them.

Yes I've been told that too but the pictures I see online do not look simular, almost all I find are in the sand bed, this guy prefers to make his tube attached to the live rock. Also I've never dealt with tube anemones before however the tenticles on this guy are insane, they reach long distances and are very very stretchy (like I said up to 1ft). Hopefully if I leave this post up someone can tell me the species if it is indeed a tube anemone.

Yea its a type of worm, not an anemone. Similar to the spaghetti worm. Should be safe for seahorses... I think?

But a worm that moves to another home like that? As far as I can tell they aren't connected and are on other sides of the live rock from each other, the tentaclea are unlike anything I've seen, I'll try and upload a video shortly!

I second (or third) on the spaghetti worm ID.

Here is a pretty good video. This one is white, but I have seen purple ones like yours.

I completely agree on the Spaghetti Worm after googling images, I'll upload video to YouTube and share tomorrow anyways, now time to research them!
