Help me identify this carpet, please.

215 gallon, fully stocked and very mixed. I like all corals :) I am having a hard time finding that perfect anemone, the red was perfect in every way except for the fish eating thing and the fact it gets 24", I was going to clear a path for him to have such beauty in the tank, but the whole fish thing is a downer.

My 11" hoddoni ate a 3" naso, that I know of (he spit the skull out a day later) and I suspect he at my foxface, but cant confirm it. This has been over the course of 2 years though.

I was sooooo tempted to go for it, but my mystery and a couple of others would surly be furbar. I hope it goes to a good home, the thing is gorgeous and very temting to give it a try, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

Man I would have. Its such a rare yet beautiful anemone. How much was that going for anyways if you don't mind me asking?

I paid $475 for it but didn't have to pay shipping. The guy was nice enough to give me my money back and was going to put it in his tank, but it was really to big for his smaller tank. He has it in the selling forum now. Good to deal with, the thing eats like a pig and is extremely healthy. The person that decides to get it will be extremely happy with it, given the fish thing is not an issue. If I had time for two tanks I would have set one up just for this thing. You have no idea how hard it was for me to let it go.

One of my LFS's has one jsut like that. I'm not in the market so I didn't check the price. I'm sure it wasn't cheap. It looked incredibly healthy too.

Got a couple of questions regarding this anemone. The store took it from me to place in his tank and was going to give me my money back as soon as his next shipment came in and he got some money. The thing was way to big for his tank. He didn't want the hassle of selling it, so I took it back (he frustrates easily). I was out the money but didn't want to be out the anemone as well, so it is back in my sump. I don't blame people one bit for being skeptical, i would be. I hope it finds a great home without a lot of small fish in the tank. You can read my feedback on reefcentral and ebay, I just happened to get the bad end of the stick on this one (kinda my fault for being on the list and not doing complete research on this animal, never even knew about the fish eating thing). And no I am not going to bash any store, just explaining why this fella has switched hands. Happy Reefing.

What's fishy is that 'Ghost' was trying to sell this anemone in the For Sale forum and saying that it was "his", "had it for weeks", "its hungry that's why its mouth is gaping", etc. etc...
I was pretty sure that the for sale forum was for hobbyists only, not fish store owners. He's doing the same thing for helfrichi firefish and a mystery wrasse, claiming they're from his fish tank?
Its too bad this beauty has to sit in your sump. Maybe a local reefer can house it for you until you set up another tank for it or find it a better home?

He is going to start up bellareef, he has been trying to get it going. He is selling off most of his stuff to get funding for the new business. Yeah I hope it gets a good home. He is happy in the sump, lots to eat and I have a metal halide driving it. I feed him daily, small pieces of silversides and shrimp. He is a pig.

Well if these things only get 24" across, it has to be a he, if it was a she (and she ate like this thing does) it would get 48" across :)
