help me pick a blenny

so i got a 40 gallon breeder and decided a blenny might be an interesting addition. wanted some sort of algae control but a sailfin blenny is just too fugly. was thinking between the linear blenny, tail spot, or midas. dont know too much about the linear, and heard tailspots can have poor survival rates. wondering if either actually eats hair algae. if neither do, might just go with the midas since they are so much prettier. thanks.

you realy need some type of combtooth blenny .if you want something different , how about a ember blenny. just an idea.. good luck with what ever you choose.

The linear, tail-spot and the midas are all cool but won't really do much (the midas won't at all) for algae control. I'm with triggerman on the ember (Cirripectes stigmaticus) or a black combtooth (Ecsenius namiyei)

I am a big fan of the tail spot blenny they are full of character, and arent affraid to wonder the tank. They are also very cool looking with their orange line under their eyes making them look like warriors. Mine perches on top of the highest rock of the tank which is in the middle of the tank and over sees tank traffic. They also change color (puts on tigger stripes) when he doesnt like something. They are peacefull but in the same note wont let anybody bully them.

I think the Lawnmower blenny does a great job on my rocks and glass, it pretty much picks stuff off everything. He picks on Snails and Crabs though :(

I agree!
Mine is never hiding and eats all day.

I just wish that my bicolor was as sweet as the tailspot.
